A 6-Week Summer Series for Experienced TV Puppeteers for JUST $25 per session!

You’ve put in the work. You know the fundamentals. But even the sharpest skills need a place to breathe, stretch, and play.

Join Tau Bennett and Geert Rigters for 6 sessions of practice & play to help keep your skills sharp. Repetition is the key to mastery!

What to Expect

Practice & Play is our annual summer series designed for puppeteers who already have a foundation in TV puppetry and are ready to keep the momentum going. Over six weeks, you’ll sharpen your technique, flex your creative instincts, and reconnect with a community of performers who truly get what you do.

Each session is a mix of structured practice and open creative exploration—guided, but never rigid. Think of it as your weekly workout for the craft: deliberate enough to build real skill, playful enough to keep the joy alive.

Across the six weeks, participants will:

  • Work through targeted practice drills to reinforce and refine core TV puppetry technique
  • Participate in guided improv scenes that challenge spontaneity, character clarity, and on-camera presence
  • Practice the skill of giving and receiving thoughtful, constructive feedback in a supportive peer environment
  • Stay connected to a community of performers who share your passion for this craft

Who This Is For

Practice & Play is designed for puppeteers who already have experience with TV puppetry performance. This isn’t an intro course*, it’s a space for those who are ready to deepen what they already know, stay sharp between productions, and keep growing within a community of peers at a similar level.

* Our 10 Week introduction to TV Puppetry course starts in September and registration opens soon.

Why Summer?

Summer has a way of pulling us out of our routines, and out of practice. This series exists to keep you engaged, connected, and creatively active during a season that can otherwise feel like a pause. Momentum matters. And so does community.
